Hallelujah – What’s it to Ya!?

The 24-voice Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Chamber Singers, led by Artistic Director Eric Stark, with Keyboard Artist Kris Sanchack presents an entertaining and interactive performance-discussion of the greatest choral composition of all time, Handel’s exciting “Hallelujah Chorus” from Messiah. The Chamber Singers will demonstrate, in live performance, what makes this work both enduring and endearing, and Dr. Eric Stark provides further insight into composer G.F. Handel’s method and genius. The audience is invited to sing along at the conclusion of the event, joining the performers in a complete performance of the beloved chorus (no audition required!). Souvenir copies of the music will be given to those in attendance.

This is a “mobile” performance that actually comes to you! Your church fellowship hall, sanctuary, or similar gathering space (with piano) is all that’s needed for this engaging presentation. The Choir will bring all we need with us…the only thing needed from the hosts is the space and an audience ready to learn the fascinating and little-known secrets behind history’s favorite choral work.
