A Season of Resonance: The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Announces its 2025–2026 Season

The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir is proud to unveil its 2025–2026 season—an inspiring lineup that honors the legacy of choral music while embracing new creative collaborations that connect our community through powerful performance.

This season, audiences can expect a vibrant mix of beloved masterworks and bold, contemporary compositions. From community favorites like Festival of Carols and Messiah, to the world premiere of a newly commissioned work centered on themes of healing and belonging, each performance reflects the Choir’s commitment to musical excellence and community engagement.

“Choral music has the power to uplift, unite, and challenge us,” said Dr. Eric Stark, Artistic Director. “This season, we’ve curated a journey that invites listeners to reflect on the world around them and the role music plays in shaping empathy and connection. We’re particularly excited to present new works that speak to today’s cultural moment while honoring the rich traditions that define our art form.”

Highlights of the 2025–2026 season include:

  • Festival of Carols – A joyful holiday tradition featuring a spectacular mix of choral classics and seasonal favorites.
  • Handel’s Messiah – A resounding return of the baroque masterpiece, performed with period instruments and a stellar lineup of soloists.
  • Masterworks Concert – Showcasing the full breadth of the Choir’s range with a dynamic program that bridges classical and contemporary voices.
  • Community Collaborations – New partnerships with local arts organizations and schools will create immersive, inclusive experiences designed to expand access to the arts and nurture the next generation of choral artists.

“The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir is more than a performance organization—we’re a place of belonging,” shared Dr. Jennifer Cooper, Executive Director. “This season reflects our belief that music can be a catalyst for healing, representation, and shared joy. Through new partnerships, educational outreach, and intentional programming, we are inviting all of Indianapolis to see themselves in our work.”

In addition to its concert series, the Choir will continue to deepen its educational efforts through the Symphonic Choir Scholar program, school-based outreach, and free community events designed to make choral music accessible to all.

As we step into this new season, we invite you to be part of the music that moves us forward. Join us for a year of discovery, celebration, and harmony.

Season tickets and individual performance details will be available beginning on August 25, 2025, at indychoir.org.
