Our “Mood Indigo” vocal jazz tribute returns, this time with a Brazilian flair! In anticipation of the Symphonic Choir’s upcoming tour to Brazil in May 2024, we preview our trip with a tribute to some of the best loved sounds from our neighbor to the south. Including works by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Caetano Veloso, João Gilberto and Vinícius de Moraes, members of the full Symphonic Choir will set your hips swaying and toes tapping with such beloved favorites as Corcovado (“Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars”), Aguas do Março (“Waters of March”), Desasfinado (“Slightly Out of Tune”) and of course “The Girl from Ipanema.” We are thrilled to be joined onstage by some of the very best Brazilian musicians anywhere, including baritone Bruno Sandes and Professor of Guitar at Indiana University Daniel Duarte. Come join us for the sounds of samba, sunshine and bossa nova!
